Podia Revenue Calculator

Creator platform revenue.

Calculate Podia revenue by combining course sales and coaching income, then subtracting your Podia plan cost to find monthly net revenue.

What this tool does

This calculator models monthly net revenue for creators using Podia by combining income from two streams: course sales and coaching services, then subtracting the platform plan cost. It takes the number of courses sold each month and their average price, plus the number of active coaching clients and their monthly fee, then deducts your Podia plan subscription to show what remains. The result illustrates total revenue available after platform fees—useful for understanding how different volumes of students or clients affect your bottom line. Course sales volume and coaching client count are typically the largest drivers of the final figure. The calculator assumes consistent pricing and client retention throughout the month, and doesn't account for payment processing fees, refunds, taxes, or other business expenses beyond the platform cost.

Podia is an all-in-one creator platform for courses, digital downloads, coaching, and community. Pricing: 39-89/month flat fee (no transaction fees on Mover/Shaker plans). Revenue comes from course sales + coaching subscriptions. Unlike percentage-based platforms, Podia's flat fee means margins improve with scale.

20 courses/month × 97 + 5 coaching clients × 200/month = 1,940 + 1,000 = 2,940 gross. Minus 39 Podia plan = 2,901 net. Strong margin because flat fee is tiny relative to revenue. At 50+ course sales/month the margin approaches 98% - one of the best creator platform economics available.

Podia vs Teachable vs Kajabi: Podia simplest + cheapest for under 500 students. Teachable best for larger course businesses (more marketing features, but 5% fee on basic plan). Kajabi most powerful (full website + marketing automation) but 149-399/month. Choose based on current scale and complexity needs.

A worked example

Try the defaults: courses sold monthly of 20, avg course price of 97, coaching clients of 5, coaching monthly price of 200. The tool returns 2,901.00. You can adjust any input and the result updates as you type — no submit button, no reload. That's the real power here: seeing how sensitive the output is to one or two assumptions.

What moves the number most

The result responds to Courses Sold Monthly, Avg Course Price, Coaching Clients, Coaching Monthly Price, and Podia Plan Monthly. Not every input has equal weight. Adjusting one input at a time toward extreme values shows which ones move the result most.

The formula behind this

Course revenue = sales × price. Coaching = clients × price. Net = total - Podia plan. Everything the calculator does is shown in the formula box below, so you can check the math against your own spreadsheet if you want.

What to do with a low result

A disappointing result is information, not a judgement. Pick the single input that dragged the figure down most and focus the next quarter on that one factor. Breadth-first improvement rarely works; depth-first on the worst input usually does.

What this doesn't capture

The score is a composite of the inputs you provide. Life context — job security, family obligations, health, housing — doesn't appear in the math but shapes the real picture. Use the number as a prompt, not a verdict.

Example Scenario

20 × ££97 + 5 × ££200 - ££39 = 2,901.00.

Inputs

Courses Sold Monthly:20
Avg Course Price:£97
Coaching Clients:5
Coaching Monthly Price:£200
Podia Plan Monthly:£39
Expected Result2,901.00

This example uses typical values for illustration. Adjust the inputs above to match a specific situation and see how the result changes.

Sources & Methodology

Methodology

This calculator computes monthly revenue by combining income from two streams and deducting platform costs. Course revenue is calculated by multiplying the number of courses sold monthly by the average price per course. Coaching revenue is derived by multiplying the number of active coaching clients by the monthly price per client. These two revenue streams are then summed to produce gross monthly income. The calculator subtracts the monthly Podia plan fee from this total to arrive at net revenue. The model assumes a flat monthly fee structure, constant pricing across all courses and coaching engagements, and no variation in client or customer numbers. It does not account for payment processing fees, transaction costs, refunds, seasonal fluctuations, or changes in pricing over time.
