Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between ARR and run-rate revenue?
ARR (annual recurring revenue) is contracted recurring revenue annualised — typically MRR × 12. Run-rate revenue includes one-off and non-recurring revenue too. Use ARR for SaaS health metrics; run-rate for total business sizing.
How is NRR different from gross retention?
GRR (gross retention) measures revenue kept from existing customers without expansion (so it can never exceed 100%). NRR adds expansion / upsell, so a healthy SaaS can show NRR above 100% — meaning the existing customer base alone grows revenue even before new sales.
